Very good quality, though uncomfortable : Turtle Beach TBS-2214 Ear Force Z6A Gaming Headset with Multi Speaker 5.1 Surround Sound
So far this is a really REALLY good headset. Every one of the speakers work (as you should expect) and it sounds great. It isn't exactly the same as 5.1 speakers, but if you can't have those due to noise this will be just as good and even better when gaming.
There IS a hiss due to the amplifier, but only when the amplifier is turned to 100. Turtle Beach says to turn Windows sound or whatever sound you're using to 100 then use the amplifier to control it, and if you do that, you hear no hiss unless you want your headset to be extremely loud.
Turtle Beach markets their headsets a lot by saying "you'll hardly know they're on." For a long time any headset I used by them were always heavy and had to come off my head because it felt like my ears needed to breathe. These though, got so much better. They're lighter and more comfortable, and I do actually forget they're on sometimes.
One of my major downsides is the built-in mic. Why can't we remove it? It's a decent mic, but I have a better one I use for everything. I don't know why the last 5.1 Turtle Beach headsets had a removable mic but this one doesn't.
Overall, great headset, great buy. Turtle Beach hardly ever disappoints. Comes with a splitter so you can plug in the headset and 5.1 speakers if you have those. The 5.1 works, you can (of course) hear people walking behind you in games, and it works with everything else. You can also use this as a stereo headset as long as you plug in the amplifier, I wish you could just plug in the stereo without the amplifier though.
